COMBAT CHALLENGE

Combat Challenge was developed to raise the level of realism, teamwork, and leadership through a series of challenges involving special effects, small unit tactics, and scenario based missions.

At the core of the event is the focus on leadership in small unit tactical situations. We design our missions in such a way that every member of the team feels that the success of the mission falls solely on their contribution to their team. To this end the teams are limited to 8 to 12 men. Each team is accompanied by a staff advisor. Our advisors are professionals who exhibit excellent leadership and mentoring skills. This allows us to challenge or assist the team as needed.

Unlike other events, the Combat Challenge missions start at 0000hrs on Saturday morning. However, starting Friday evening are brief classes on vehicle operations, special weapons, unit maneuvers, and leader briefings. These brief classes are designed to make sure everyone is focused on the mission and the safety of all teams involved.

The missions are divided into two styles to accommodate those who want to push the envelope of the challenge to those who wish enjoy the game of mil-sim. Certain units that have requested challenging missions may be deployed in the early morning for reconnaissance against other opposing units. These high level missions require excellent knowledge of navigation, tactics, and communications. You will be cold, it will be dark, and you will not be alone.

There are also several sniper missions available in which you may request or you may be approached to conduct prior to the event. If you agree you must blend in to the event and conduct your mission in secrecy. However, due to the undisclosed nature of your mission you will be hunted by some, and feared by all.

Of course there are also missions that follow a more main stream approach and are vital to the success of the entire force. These may include providing vehicle convoy support, search and destroy, and quick reaction forces for special units.

In short, Combat Challenge is where you test your skills, develop leadership, fight among those who share your passion, go home tired, and return for more!
